Welcome to 1st Place Engineering.  Our goal is to help you find the hidden performance in your vehicle and even in yourself.  We're not talking about quick and dirty engine swaps and turbo upgrades, we're not about racing in a straight line.  To us, performance means the complete package, a car that is not just powerful, but that has the handling and stopping power to get around a race track quicker than most people think that it should.  Of course, we also do street cars, and when working on a street car, issues like ground clearance and driver/passenger comfort are considered.   

What We Do:  Primarily Chassis, Suspension, Brakes, Wheels and Tires, and helping you make them work together.  We also do complete Drivetrain work, including transmissions, differentials, turbo and superchargers, custom-built engines and more... again all with the focus on balancing every aspect of your car to work well as a complete system.  We do things that a lot of "tuner" shops don't even think about, like Corner Balancing, Custom Alignments, track setup and suspension tuning.  And if you need to "tune the driver", we can help with that, too!  Ask about our Track and Classroom instruction, and on track services.

What We Don't Do:   Gigantic heavy chrome wheels, big wings, body kits and other cosmetic parts that do nothing for the racer.  We do not cut springs.  We will not install a suspension that is not properly damped.  We will not paint your brake calipers or install your fake Z3 side vents. We do not do window tint, stereos, or any non-performance electronics.  We don't do bling unless you like the shine of freshly machined purpose-built parts, and we often forget how to even spell "JDM".  If these are the things you desire, we are not the place for you.  If it's true performance that you seek, look no further!
